Plaque Submissions

Our Walk honours all military service personnel with a connection to Aintree and surrounds, whether it be through birth, residential status, place of enlistment, direct family of a local resident or membership of a local RSL. The assessment of applicants qualifications as “locally connected”, is at the discretion of the Walk of Honour custodians. Once a local connection is verified, we do not aspire to judge contribution, but instead apply the simple admission test of the nominee having undertaken military service for their country.

Whilst space permits, there are limited opportunities for physical plaques to be installed for future nominees, in addition to inclusion on the Digital Roll of Honour. After all physical plaque space is consumed, digital plaques will be offered to nominees accepted for inclusion.

• Stories must be submitted as MS Word documents saved in .doc or .docx format only.
• Images must be submitted in .jpg or .png format only.
• Each file must be less than 4mb.
• A maximum of 5 files can be loaded.
